About The System

SPETSNAZ, or Voiska Spetsialnogo Naznachenia, stands for Russian Special Forces. This military organization has been highly acclaimed all over the world. However, very few individuals know that within Spetsnaz there are several Special Operations Units shrouded in secrecy and activated only for the highest risk missions.

Most of the regular Spetsnaz troops have been trained in the wrestling style (Sambo) with elements of Karate and boxing. While these few Special Operations Units go through entirely different conditioning. They are prepared according to the authentic Russian Martial Art, the style of the ancient warriors. It originated in Russia ten centuries ago and evolved through history into an incredibly powerful and unpredictable form of combat called Systema, or The System, which encompassed all levels of human abilities.

The System was suppressed by the Soviet regime after the revolution of 1917, when anything traditionally Russian was openly discouraged. The System was preserved and expanded upon exclusively for these Special Operation Units of Spetsnaz.
